Brook raised an eyebrow, "Marks? Lord no. I have all the marks i need." She said. Well, she did't have much with her, but it only took a firelizard message to her father and she was stocked up again. "No, i want a ride." She said and bit her lip. "A ride on your Solarith." She requested, an excited glint in her eye. Most girls would gasp at her forwardness, because it was quite something to demand from a stranger. But she thought of it this way, whats the worse that could happen, he say no? That didn't phase her.
She then held the pad close to her and closed the work. "No more till you answer."

He nearly laughed, "You want a ride, from my Solarith?" It didn't seem like it would be much harm, but he also didn't know her well. He had to think about this, he was new, after all. Maybe if she couldn't get a ride from some one else, that she would charge him that, maybe there was a rule? He pushed the logic away. He was overthinking things, but he would post pone any ride promises. He didn't like make promises he didn't know if he could keep-it was an honorable trait, but some times people got mad at him for not saying things just to please them. He gave her a smile, "You drive a hard bargain. You will take nothing in place of a dragon ride?"

S'mael walked in for a nice warm cup of klah. Of course, after being on his feet all day, it would be good to set back and just enjoy a nice peaceful... Then he saw G'del. Word from around the weyr was that he was a new arrival. And the new wingleader of beta wing to boot.
He is the rider of Solarith. You have something to say to him, correct? Aye, love... he is the leader of the wing, so i need to find the practice schedules for the next few weeks. You may be the best bronze in this weyr, but we need a place and time so you and I can prove it. It doesn't mean anything when you show off for candidates. I don't know what you are talking about, rider-mine.
S'mael downed his drink like it was water and was about to walk over when he saw Brook. Great, another encounter with her... She doesn't seem to be causing trouble this time. Was it not you who said that when it comes to trouble, candidates know best? There is several types of trouble, and not all of it is limited to candidates only.
With a few resounding strides across the hall, S'mael came near where G'del was standing. He gave G'del the examining eye like he did to every other newcomer. "Hmm.. You're G'del, correct? I'm S'mael. Good to see you arrived safely." A slight pause. S'mael wasn't exactly good with small talk. "I'll need to know what the wing practice schedule will be so I can coordinate it with training my candidates." S'mael completely ignored Brook like she wasn't there. Granted, S'mael was certain that she had finished her chores by now. He decided to leave her alone this time. If anything was wrong, he would hear about it from the usual sources.

Brook looked at him and raised an eybrow, "Well i might accpet-" wht she was going to say was no logner important. S'mael was here. Shards! He ruined all her fun. "Hello, sir." She said, trying to keep the annoyance out her voice. She rolled her eys and sta back down wit herh glass of wine. Flame S'mael for coming in, for Faranths sake, he's a Wingleader!

G'del, turned sharply to reguard S'mael. Demanding fellow, isn't he. Lightly, "Boy they don't let a man sleep his first night here..." His smirk was gone, and with mention of his wing he became a businessman. He was solomn and serious. "Why of course, your candidates. Well S'mael I will certainly get back to you. I am thinking about mornings and afternoons on some days, afternoons on others. I am a well disciplined man, and I expect commitment from my riders. I will understand if you can't make all my wing practices. I'm sure I can get a brown to fly in for you." He said evenly, with no emotion. His barb nearly hidden. "I am pleased that you would come to check with me. Responsibility is good trait in a man."
Careful, His bronze rumbled. Don't use your wit too much now. I haven't even started, my friend. He almost forgot Brook until she spoke up. She didn't seem exactly happy that he showed up. Brook must not be the Candidate Master's favorite.

S'mael frowned, giving G'del the eye. "Indeed." Great, a sharding joker... just what we need... another one to add to the how many dozen we already have... Watch it love, you did refer to him as a superior. Rank may be given and taken away, love. But respect has to be earned. Such a mystery this is... I'll explain it all later... again... Make sure you oil me while you explain. I could use a good oiling. You'll get that oiling I promised. Don't worry about it.
S'mael spoke in a deadpan, monotonatic manner. "Then I will return then when you have a more definitive schedule planned out. Since you are so well diciplined, I will expect perfection from you then. That is all." His demeanor is as it alwasy was. Serious, stern, and unchanging like stone.
S'mael turned and started to leave the hall, his boots clacking slightly on the stone as he walked away.

Brook waited till S'mael was gone. "Charming fellow, hunh?" She said quietly to G'del. Even though he was gone now, she never raised her voice above a whisper when talking aobut S'mael. That man creeped the fall out of her. "Now back to what i was saying. If a nice outing in the sky is too much to ask," She pouted slightly bu her eyes were smiling, "Than i have a counterproposition for you."
"How about i take you for a tour of the Weyr and then well...you have to agree now and the second bit will be a surprise for later. But no backing otu if you agree. You rider enough for that, deal?" She asked and raised and eybrow quickly, her smile devilishly seductive.

G'del scoffed. He had not meant to be a joker, he meant to put the candidate master in his place. Everything he said, he meant. He did expect a lot from his riders. G'del would not be taken lightly. "And I thought I was a hard arse." He watched the candidate master leave, "I am not surprized, Brook." He eyed her when she proposed her next offer. He smirked, it would seem an even greater price, though to most men not at all mind. "I am not a man who appreciates surprizes. I am not one to make promises I cannot keep." He smiled gallantly, "Perhaps I should have taken up your first offer, but saying that, are you sure you cannot tell my the secong bit?"

She winked at him, "I'm afraid i can't. Now i appreciate men of their word, but i also appreciate men who turst me. So trust me, say yes." She bit her lip and smiled at him. She hoped he wouldn't stumble on her fun by being all noble. "But maybe i'll give you hints while we tour and you can gues....but first you have to say yes!"

He smiled, he could guess alright. He hoped he was wrong with his guesses, and he seriously thought about taking up her offer. He decided to trust that she was more innocent tham she appeared. If all else failed, he would act dumb. G'del was fairly sure he couldn't be forced into doing something he didn't want to. He had to be wrong, and he set his mind on it. Sure that she was just flirting with him now, he accepted, "I accept your terms, milady. Where will you take me first?"

She cocked her head to the side. "Well, how about a tour of the lower caverns, the Weyrling and Candidate Barracks and maybe end off our tour with a walk aroud the backways and shortcust to all the Weyrs. They're very useful...not that i've ever needed them." She winked at him and held out a hand for him to take as she began to walk him towards the exit.

He sighed, and looked at her with bored eyes, "Really, the Weyrling and Candidate Barracks? How juvenile." He stood a little straighter, and smirked, "Such a clever woman I thought you were. I thought there would be much more creative places to see. Ah well." He teased her, "I suppose the backways might be interesting, however, let us skip the barracks. I have no desire to take the positions from Is'len or S'mael. There is nothing of much interest there for me."
He looked at her and smiled, but did not add save you, best not give her false hopes. Messing with a candidate that way was bad news all the way around. Of course, in a few turns things might be very different... He shook the thought from his head, "Can't you show me somthing like the stable yards, they are near the feeding grounds, are they not? And I've heard there is a smithy here. Sparks my interests, that does. Of course this is your tour, milady, and I would not want to put you out."

She raised an eybrow at him. Shards, he was more than a little annoying, oh well, he was a Bronzer. "Fine...but the Barracks are much more fun than you'd think, but you'll never know now." She winked at him "Alright, we can tour the stables and lower caverns and such...if thats what interests you." She really had no interest in the places of the Weyr devoted to work like the smithy and feeding grounds, but they were an important part of the Weyr.
"Ok, well how about we go to the stables first, they aren't too far. You like runners sir?" She asked, bubbling pleasantly to the new Wingleader.

He grinned as she looked at him, one brow raised. So he was getting under her skin, was he? He nearly laughed at the thought. Pity she wasn't already a rider, and that she was so young in his eyes. "By all means, Brook, show me what you will, I do not wish to offend you. . ." Lest she be more powerful than he precieved. He bowed, "You are the expert, I the obidient pupil," He said evenly, "So lead on. If you think the barracks are so interesting, perhaps you could tell me why?"
He looked around him with a quick sweep of the eyes. He didn't think any one would be looking for him, or that they would even care. The place was so empty. He supposed he was looking for some inspiration in what to say.

Brook smiled. Good. "Well then, i'll take you by the stables and such now, but later we have to visit the barracks. I have reason, don't you worry." She then began leading him through the passageways of the lower caverns towards the stables. "Well its not hte barracks themselves that are so interesting, but i think that my clues will lead us there." She said trying not to giggle to herself. She knew what he was probably thinking and that was what was so funny.
She led them to the entrance of the stables. She'd had enough of stable duty to last her a lifetime, but she held the door out for him. "Alright, browse the smelly beasts to your hearts conetent." She said, but couldn't help but smile as a cute young runner caught her eye. Awwweee...
