It had been a short amount of time since F'dan had shown Dulin around, but he was forced to run off to tend to other things, leaving Dulin alone in the Weyr once again, and not a Weyrwoman in sight. In his most idle status, the Harper let his feet do the walking. Back down the halls he had come from, down halls he had never seen before, dodging children, and gossiping women.
And yet here he was again, back in the place that he had started. To say that Dulin felt overwhelmed would be untrue. Yet the young man could not help but stand a stare at the Bowl, in the fading light, and sigh.
OOC: Cutting this short... it's late. ^^;

T'lar walked out of the Weyrling Barracks intent only on moving toward the Weyrhall. He was famished. All this training and having a new dragon was wearing on him. It was great to be a Weyrling, even having impressed at a later age of 20. Irath was sleeping now and T'lar had taken the chance to get some food. He couldn't help but notice the attractive harper, who looked very lost and probably overwhelmed by the Weyr.
T'lar approached him smiling. "Hello." He said warmly. "Are you trying to find your way around? " As usual, T'lar was a scruffy sort. His hair looked like he had just rolled out of bed, though he had been up for candlemarks. He wasn't wearing anything that would suggest he was a rider of any sort having swapped out his leathers after training for something more comfortable.

Dulin turned his head slowly at the Weyrling and regarded him with his dark brown eyes. There seemed to be a secret kind of smile dancing in his eyes, a smile that was mirror on his face just under the edges of his late afternoon facial hair. He most certainly looked like he was lost, but he also didn't appear to be extremely concerned by it. His was obviously not a mind concerned with unnecessary immediacy.
Besides, now that I have some possibly enjoyable company, there is no need to rush.
"Hello," he returned calmly to the stranger. "Yes, I am quite a bit lost. These hall are a labyrinth. I walk down one, and I keep ending up out here in the Bowl. It's very confusing for someone who does not know his way around." He looked at the rather good looking (albeit younger) man standing near him.
"I suppose I was just bidding time until I could come out and enjoy the approaching night. Care to join me? A man could use all the friends he can get."

A great whoosh of cold air propelled by dragon wings coming out of between heralded the return of the Weyrwoman to her Weyr. Zhariath bugled as she banked to circle once around the bowl. The trilling reply of the little green watch dragon echoed her brassy call. Zhariath banked again slowly, lazily circling around the Weyr. Enough admiring love, I need to speak with N'mos.
The dark gold dragon snorted, showing exactly what she thought of that idea. She turned again, abet sharply and descended into the Weyr Bowl. The woman on her back laughed into the wind at the dragon's reaction. In truth she felt much the same way. But she had just been to Southern to visit Mehyi and the reports of thread falling out of pattern had chilled her blood. She had to speak to N'mos. Shards and shells, the man had to make some kind of prepertation.
Zhariath back winged and landed down on the dust covered floor, sending up dirt devils spinning across the bowl with the beating of her wings. Love, Fierzath knows. Lyrai smiled and thumped the gold on her shoulder as she slid downwards, out of the saddle. Thanks love. Zhariath only replied with a distainful snort, both rider and dragon were a little more than fed up with the current state of affairs.

T'lar wasn't usually fond of newcomers but for Dulin he may make an exception. "I've lived here all my life, theres nowhere I can't get you to from here. Besides now you know that everything leads out here. All you have to do is know where to turn so that you don't end up here all the time."
He looked up and saw Zhariath landing. "I have no plans for the evening. The more the merrier. I'm T'lar."He was looking back at the Harper. "See that dragon landing there. That is the senior Queen, the highest ranked dragon at the Weyr."
The awe in his voice was nothing compared to the faces of those closer to the landing Queen. "We at Ponaa are quite pleased to boast three mature Queens. Zhariath, Sharieth and Amenth. That is Zhariath. Amazing isn't she?"

Whatever Dulin might have been thinking about the other man at his side was quickly interrupted by the sudden sound of large wings overhead. Now, Dulin had seen a handful of dragons in his entire life, though he had never once seen a gold this close before. To say that she was large and splendorous would be a gross understatement that would not hold a beak on to the actual majesty of the creature.
"She is a thing of beauty," Dulin said with almost the same amount of awe that F'lan had expressed, though he fell short in matching his pride.Give him time, though, and he surely would stand up to any other person in the Weyr in sharing the honor. "She and the other Queens are certainly worthy of their regal titles."
He smiled, and inwardly thought of Lyrai. Was she already so close? Had she really and suddenly landed with her senior Gold in the Weyr Bowl, just as he was about to give up on trying to find her? Coincidence or not, it seemed like this would be the chance he had been waiting for to finally see her again. What would she think of him? Would she recognize him? And what about her? How different had she become in her womaning years? Despite himself, a nervous lumped curled in his stomach to where he nearly stopped breathing.
So...what now?

Once Lyrai had slid off her back, Zhariath backed up several steps and half spread her wings. A clear warning to onlookers who were a little close as to exactly what was going to happen next. The dark golden dragon crouched and lept into the air, flapped several times, made another circle for the sake of it then landed back on her ledge. For the bare few moments this took, the Weyrwoman watched her dragon, then turned back towards the Weyr.
She smiled inwardly at the few who had stopped to watch her dragon's landing, thank goodness Zhariath hadn't felt the need to show off today, she felt that urge a little too often. And the antics of the small gold dragon were a little more than Lyrai could admit she liked. I've never even scrapped a wing. Weseth cannot fly like I can. She couldn't begin to, love. The Weyrwoman thought it would be best to left unnoted that Mehyi's Queen was at least a third larger than Zhariath. The pattern of Ponaa's dragon sizes baffled many, for some reason they just clutched smaller here, though all agreed the flights were more fantastic than any others on Pern.
Oh shards and shells, she'd nearly forgotten about N'mos, flame the man. With a huff, she turned and began to stalk towards the Weyr's main entrance. On the list of things she had yet to do today that was by far the most important and the one she wanted to do the least. She'd rather inspect the herdbeasts than that stuffy, good for nothing bronzerider.

Dulin squinted his eyes at the woman who was walking away from the Gold and towards the entrance to the Weyr. Maybe he had gotten it wrong. Maybe this was not the one that he had been looking for. The last time he saw Lyrai, she had been far less... developed than the female trodding in his general direction, Despite the riding gear that covered her body, her curves and figure were evident. He cocked his head briefly to the side in slight confusion, wondering what had happened to the tunnelcat of a girl that he remembered,
Well, maybe this stranger would be able to help him find Lyrai. Gently he approached her, carefully watching the angry steps she was taking towards the Weyr, and for a moment, he caught her eyes. Very much like his own, say for the fire that was currently burning in him, he saw his mother in them, and any doubts fluttered away in the hot wind. A smile brightened his features, and his pace quickened to catch up with the young woman.
"Excuse me, if you would," he said, catching up with the Weyrwoman, and falling in step behind her. He could hardly contain his excitement in his voice, and he hoped that Lyrai would chalk it up to the flights of fancies young Harpers are so prone to. There was still a game to be played here. "I am looking for Lyrai, the Wyrwoman of Ponaa. Would you happen to be her?"
