X-Men: New Horizons
It has been a month and a half since the events at Alkali Lake and the death of Jean Grey. Everything has been quiet – the Brotherhood seemed to have disappeared. However the calm is deceptive. Magneto and his followers are still at large and their numbers are growing – including one of Charles Xavier's own students St. John Allerdyce, now known as Pyro.
Following the murder of William Stryker and several fights with Scott Summers, it became clear to Xavier that he could not control Logan, and that for the safety of his students, it would be better if he left the school. Wolverine departed willingly, heading north to discover more about his history and that of the mysterious Weapon X project.
Knowing that Magneto had not abandoned his war and fearing that someone else might seek to follow in Stryker's footsteps, Professor Xavier decided on a radical course of action. He called upon the aid of a powerful precognitive mutant of his acquaintance, Raymond Fredrickson a.k.a. Seer, asking him to design a foolproof security system, so powerful that no one could defeat it.
This is where the story begins.
Will Magneto and his Brotherhood succeed?
Will Xavier's new security system be impenetrable?
What of Wolverine? Did he find out what he needed? Will he return? And if he does, what side will he be on?
