I'slen nodded smiling quietly. "I'm sure she would. She likes you better than me anyway, you spoil her." He did his best to steady her and then gently laid Tujal back down on the bed. I'slen smiled and a moment later two flits whirled about the infirmary. With some coaxing Bey and Feya settled down on the bed. The gold curled up by Tujal's head and the green on her stomach. "Now you get some rest and I will get back to that work I need to do."
He startled slightly at Amenth's voice and wondered at how similar it was to Tujal's. He would never quiet get used to that. Only Wes should be inside his head at any givin time, knowing Amenth was there well, made him nervous. He did his best to think back to the Queen and send her calming and loving thoughts as much as he was doing to Tujal. They both needed a good sleep and then a feeding to be on their way to recovery.

Tujal watched him with worrying eyes. What if that guy had done what he wanted? She shuddered at the thought and tried to dismiss it from her mind, but it was difficult, at best.
Are you alright now? Amenth asked her, slightly worried. Her first pairs of lids were closed over her eyes, but the whirling of reds in with the blue was still dully visible.
I'll be fine. Go to sleep, Amenth. I'll come give you a bath later. Tujal smiled as the gold's pleasure at that thought filled her mind. A thought struck Tujal. "What's going to happen to that rider, I'slen?"

The bronzerider was hard placed not to growl at the mention of that man, as it was he clenched the fabric on the bed in tight fists. "He will be sent to another Weyr and punished..." Frankly I'slen didn't agree with any punishment the Weyrleaders would decide on. None in his opinion would be harsh enough for that worthless hunk that had the nerve to call himself a dragonrider. Trying to force an unwilling woman... it made his blood boil. It took I'slen a few long minutes to keep his anger in check and with a long breath he released it. "You'll never have to see him again."
Feya squeeked and began to preen Tujal's hair, the whole time chittering and crooning like one of the mothers in charge of the weyrbrats. I'slen smiled down at the tiny queen who seemed such a small replica of Amenth. Once Feya was satisfied she squeeked once more and curled up beside Tujal's head, one bright blue eye open and watching.

"I hope not." She scratched Feya's eyeridges when the firelizard began to straighten her hair. "What a good, pretty girl you are," she told her, smiling. "You don't have to be so angry then," Tujal said, looking back up to I'slen. She knew he was angry, his body language told her everything she needed to know. She moved a bit closer to him, and put her head on his lap. She faced outwards, so her aways didn't look at his stomach. "Don't be angry anymore."
Now she draped and arm over his lap too, trying to adjust to be comfortable. Having bent herself in a bit of an odd twist, she was glad she had done all that running and twisting as a Weyrling to make her flexible. Her other hand still petted Feya.

The firelizard trilled at attention and her eyes closed almost completely with indolence. I'slen simply shook his head and smiled, she was such a little pain. He started slightly when Tujal moved to lay on his lap but covered it and laid his arm over her middle. The Weyrling Master sighed and took a deep breath, doing his best to forget about that sharding man, thank Faranth he hadn't actually hurt Tujal... If it had come to that he was sure he wouldn't have been able to hold his temper in check. He glanced down at the girl, no, the young woman and let the breath back out. She was alright and that after all was what really mattered. The Weyr couldn't afford to loose her, he couldn't afford to loose her.
Reaching over with his other hand, he smoothed some of her hair back. "You should try to get some rest you know. I can see to Amenth's oiling tomorrow." Presuming the rapidly growing gold would let him. But with his Wes, he didn't doubt that she wouldn't at least tollerate his presence. Bey landed on I'slen's shoulder and butted his cheek, begging for the same attentions that Feya was getting. The bronzerider grinned and stopped playing with Tujal's hair long enough to scratch the little green. What was with females, it didn't matter what species they were, they all wanted scratches.

"Well, I can't. I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. What are we doing in lessons tomorrow?" Tujal asked, trying to make her point. But she really was so stressed now, and still a little scared...Quiet, Amenth, Tujal told the Gold. She was trying to give Tujal ideas.
A little rest wouldn't hurt you. And I'slen's hands are rougher than yours, so they can scratch me better, the gold replied haughtily.
"Fine. Never mind. You all seem to be united against me. I'll rest tomorrow, and tomorrow only. But, still, what are we learning tomorrow in Weyrling lessons, I'slen?" she asked, only halfway irritated, because for now she understood that they all had her best interests at heart. Noticing that he wasn't playing with her hair anymore, she shook her head, making her hair spread again.

The bronzerider grinned down at Tujal, doing his best to keep a straight face and failing. "Well how about I change up our schedual a bit so you don't miss anything. I can give the Greens their lessons. That way you don't miss anything." He cleared his throat and tried to look as serious as possible.
Bey leaped off his shoulder and onto the bed. After a moment of looking around the little green began to bat at Tujal's toes that were wiggling ever so slightly under the blanket. At the sight. I'slen's attempt at being serious crumbled and he doubled over laughing. It was a long few minutes before he could gather his breath enough to stop. "Oh my.... Bey...."

"That sounds fine. Thank you," Tujal replied, as dignified as she could, even though he was laughing. "I hope you are not laughing at me," she told him, frowning slightly. Then she felt little pushes against her toes and transferred her gaze to her feet. "'Ey, you," she giggled, watching Bey bat at her feet. She wriggled her toes more, and sporadically, trying to make a game of it. "Uh-oh, you gonna get 'em? You are!" she said, now smiling. She closed her eyes and settled her head back down on I'slen's lap. It was only fair, after all, that he should provide the lap for her poor cranium, and she told him so. Then, turning her face upwards, she smiled contentedly at him. He really was handsome, she noted.
Aye, and his dragon too, came a familiar voice. Amenth was, of course, still sitting with Weseaneth.

And dashing, you can't forget dashing. Oh and smart. Weseaneth puffed his chest out in an attempt to look as dashing as he thought he was. He fluttered light, brassy colored wings and arched his neck for an added touch. The thought that maybe the posturing was a little much entered his thoughts and was immediately dismissed. Though I am better looking than he is, humans are odd scrawny things.
If I'slen thought he had been laughing hard before he was in for a surprise. He heard Wes's comment and once again found himself laughing uncontrollably. "I dont... hahaha... even want to know... hahahaha" Bey meanwhile was quite intent on her hunt of Tujal's toes. The little green squeekes and twittered and growled as the things under the blanket continued to evade her. This of course did not help the bronzerider as he tried to regain his composure, and as soon as I'slen thought he had recovered he was sent into a fit of laughter again.

"Too true, Weseaneth, too true." Tujal settled now, getting over her hysteria. I'slen started to laugh uncontrollably, and Tujal gave him a funny look. "Are you alright? You're acting funnier than I was." She reached up and patted his back. "There, there, you'll be okay. Deep reathing, deep breathing."
A tiny claw tickled her toe, and Tujal almost shrieked with laughter. She looked down to see Bey still after her toes, and she smiled at the green being. Moving her toes a little quicker, she taunted the firelizard.

As I'slen calmed down, Bey got more and more riled up; pouncing and gnawing at Tujal's toes. At that point all the bronzerider could do was smile and shake his head. Secretly puffing up inwardly as much as Wes was visibly at Tujal's praise. Wes of course was still posturing as much as he possibly could in front of Amenth, quite and throughly pleased with himself. Bey of course was so flustered with her lack of success that she sat back on her hunches, looked up at Tujal and in a racous chorus of chirps and squawks let the Weyrling know exactly what she thought about this whole situation. Feya as amused by the Green's antics as the two humans watched with blue whirling eyes.
I'lsen scooped up the little lizard and soothed her to silence, letting her know just how good a huntress she really was. The whole time though the corner of his mouth threatened to twitch back up into a smile again. He glanced at Tujal and grinned broadly. "I really think we don't want to know what she said... I think she must have picked up a few things from the wild fair down by the docks."

"They're a bad influence." Tujal reached up and scratched the little green's eyeridges. "You're a really fine huntress, I just don't want little green claws sticking in my toes. I'm sure you understand." She grinned. Looking at Feya, she realized that the little gold was getting no attention. She petted her a little. "You're very pretty, girl," Tujal told her. A sudden wave of exhaustion washed over the Weyrling. Her eyes started to droop a little. She yawned, but quickly tried to stifle it. Wondering if I'slen had noticed, she stole a glance at him.

The Weyrling Master did indeed notice and pushed Tujal back onto her pillows. "Alright kiddo, get some rest. The girls will keep you company, just send Feya running if you need me." Not that she couldn't just ask Wes, but sometimes, like now; the bronze dragon was a might distracted. I'slen stood and stretched, then deposited Bey back onto the bed. The little green wandered up the blanket and curled up on the pillow next to Feya. It had been... a very long day.
The bronzerider flashed her one last smile a retreated from the Infirmary. He really shouldn't have kept her talking that long. The Master Healer was going to skin him and set his hide to dry out for that one, but at least Tujal seemed alright now. Well perhaps not alright, but vastly improved.

At the use of the diminutive, Tujal's eye twitched. "Kiddo?" She tapped him lightly on the butt with her foot. "I'll teach you 'kiddo,' someday," she whispered. She smiled though, because she now saw that he liked her enough to bristle at her almost captor.
The healer came hurrying over to her. "You are to drink all of this and then sleep. Goodnight, Goldrider." Tujal did as directed, and the drink had to have some fellis in it, because she fell almost immediately asleep.
Sleep well, my rider...
