He nodded...ok swim then. He shook his head slightly to himself, dark hair runnign itno his eyes before taking a deep breath and following her. When was the last time he'd done something crazy. To fall with it. He removed his shirt revealing a toned dragonrider torso and rolled up his light pants. Then he dove in after her. He was naturally atheltic and incredibly fit. He really did feel at hoem in the water...it was the person in the water with him that would make him uncomftorable. He tried to igore the fact that the Weyrwoman was now naked. At least he wasn't. He swam up to her in a few moments. He knew that even though nothign was really going on, if the Weyrleader found them now...they'd be left out to fall so to speak. That thought did nothign to urn him away however.
He treaded water with ease, the moonlight shimmering off of his strong shoulders and bare back. "Do you come out here alot?" He asked. He could understand why. The water was perfect, the sky breathtaking. The whole world seemed perfect and enchanting at that time.

She smiled and nodded, glancing up at the sky. There really was nowhere on Pern quite like the view at night here. It was almost as if she could reach up and grab the stars right out of the sky. She couldn't help but blush slightly as he swam up next to her. It had been a good long while since she'd been near any man other than N'mos. Darn it, he was so man-ish and she of course had the body of a thirteen turn girl. Lyrai found herself cursing inwardly and desperately tried to think of something else. Well girl, she did have to remind herself, you got yourself into this mess.
Then he spoke and she turned back to look at Ki'lair. "Yes, I suppose I do. It's been awhile since I've really slept well." She chuckled, remembering the night she caught him sneaking into the Records Room. "And yourself? I don't suppose you're as much a nightwanderer as I am?" She really didn't think anyone was, the duties of the Weyrfolk seemed enough durring the day to ensure they all slept well when they had the chance. Ly of course was prone to pacing and laying awake with worries. So she'd taken to trying to find other ways of distracting herself at night.

He shrugged, although she probably couldn't see it. "No i don't sleep much at all. Sometimes i would like to...but i can't usually." He replied. He'd lost alot rcently...but then, everything must have been so much harder for Lyrai. She was so young and yet in charge of Weyr. She hadn't only had to deal with thread, but with the poisoning as well. "But it tend to stay to myself. I only coem down here if something is particularily getting at me." He said, hoping she wouldn't ask him about what the particular thing was tonight.
He treaded water silently. He was calm now, he felt surprisingly comftrable next to the Weyrwoman now. He doubted he'd talked to a woman as much as he'd talked to Lyrai recently for quite a while. Maybe he was getting used to it. OR maybe it was her...he wondered if he was making a friend. The concept was odd.
"But i doubt even you are as lonely as I," He said, in an almost challenging way. He didn't think anyone could be as lonely as him.
