Panthea's eyes flashed at Jennah's comment to Lyrai. She didn't know how well he knew the woman, but she would never say that to the Weyrwoman. Not even teasingly unless they were good friends, which she hoped they could some day be. Panthea idolized Lyrai. The woman was everything that Panthea strived to be. The gold candidate was still shocked that Jennah would have the gall to say that. But then again, he did have the gall to come into the female candidate dorms to fetch his pants. The fact that he was drunk may have had part to do with it.

Panthea looked back to where Toya was trying to sleep. Coward. she thought. At least Panthea fessed up to her lack of responsibility. Even so, she was pretty sure sleeping all this away wouldn't make anything better. Most of the candidates were gone to lessons and chores she wasn't sure which because her sense of time had been a bit messy. . .

Toya couldn't take it anymore, she was completely unable to let this slide by. Why have I made him so mad? she wondered. Maybe an apology would suffice?Or would he even remember it when he was sober again? Toya did not know anyone here. She had no idea how to handle the Weyrhealer. He seamed what was the word.... un-hole? was that a word? she didn't know.

Toya sat up. "I think I owe you an apology, Weyrhealer..." she said. "I shouldn't have screamed. I'm use to defending my mom, as Ista is very different from here." Toya hoped the truth was good enough, but she didn't think it was. her stomach growled rather loudly this time, and she realized that she still hadn't eaten. She winced, hoping no one heard it. Her long black hair was tangled from being in bed, but that was the least of her worries, it was funny how she seemed to notice all of her falts when she was in trouble. Toya was looking straight at the Weyrhealer, waiting for him to explode again.
